When your children have happy experiences, they want to repeat them. Starting Kindergarten can be seen as an extension of informal library "classes." Children who have had joyful experiences in the public library often approach school with a positive attitude, ready and excited to learn.
Try this: Encourage everyone to follow the lyrics of the song and join in with the motions.
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap)
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap)
If you're happy and you know it,
And you really want to show it,
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap)
Repeat with other actions: stamp your feet, shout horray, and do all three.
